In November of 1964, Richard Pearsall was born. His hometown of Clinton,N.C. was where
his love for music began. He would sing songs from Patsy Cline and "ole time" church music with his Mom and
watch his late Grandpa Boone sing and play his guitar, and would later on sneak in his Grandps's bedroom to
play a few licks on his old flattop. He soon bought his own guitar from the money he saved from working in the tobacco
feilds.
He moved to Durham, N.C. in the early seventies where his music started taking
course. His early influences were country greats like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and the late Waylon Jennings.
"I loved all the OUTLAWS and their music" Rich says. He was later turned on to the sounds of southern-rock and blues
greats like the late SRV, The Marshall Tucker Band and Lynyrd Synyrd which really comes through when he
plays.
From the sound of his voice, to the words in any of his 100 plus original songs that
he has written since the age of 14, He proves that "outlaws" are still around. Rich says ,"Give me 3 minutes and I'll
make you a beleiver that country-rock is still alive and kickin' ".
It's a " MUST SEE SHOW " when Rich and his brothers (Steve and Chris) perform. Their show
has everything from Waylon to SRV to Skynyrd, then add in their originals that any person listening can
relate to. "When I write, it comes from everyday life experiences both past and present" Rich says.
Over the years Rich has alot to be proud of, from winning over 5 "Battle of the Bands" contest to
playing with great musicians like Tommy Redd of The Nantucket Band, the late Toy Caldwell of The Marshall Tucker Band, to
opening shows for Toby Keith and Confederate Railroad and many others. He was seen regularly on a television show "BLUES
YOU CAN USE" which had guest like Artimus Pyle from Lynyrd Skynyrd and alist of others.
Rich says, "First I want to thank GOD for my talent, my wife and soulmate Donna, my beautiful
daughter Justice, my mom and dad (Barbara and L.S.), my family and friends, THE FANS, and my brothers for being there helping
me and supporting me make my dream come true."
"I LOVE YOU ALL!!!"
